Enrollment for the 2009/2010 Season NOW OPEN.

Thank you for your interest in the Adaptive Ski Program. Below you will find .pdf versions of our 2009/2010 applications and other important information. Online forms are now available, please remember to print, sign and send in your Liability Waiver and Scholarship Request.

STUDENTS

Please fill out the entire application. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Only complete applications are accepted. Please review the eligibility guidelines before submitting your application. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please contact Katya at 505-955-9858. Please print the liability waiver and sign in both places (use blue or black ink). If you do not want the ASP to use photos, videos of you or your child mark "no" in the media section. Do not leave blank. This year's deadline for student applications is December 1st. Submitting an application on or before the deadline does not automatically guarantee instructor availability. Please see the current season schedule to find the program days that work best for you. If you are requesting a scholarship, please print the PDF and mail in with application and waiver.

VOLUNTEERS

The Adaptive Ski Program is staffed by a yearly average of 200 volunteer instructors, many certified by (PSIA) Professional Ski Instructors of America. Instructors must be over the age of 18 and be intermediate to advanced skiers. Instructors receive four days of intensive, hands on training with yearly updates. Training includes disability specific issues such as medications, behaviors, equipment fit, teaching styles, etc.
Each volunteer is asked to contribute six teaching days each winter. Opportunities to teach additional days are available. The program also offers some non-skiing positions for those who are not interested in teaching but want to be a part of the magic of bringing skiing and snowboarding to our special students. Instructor incentives as well as other important program information are discussed the yearly Volunteer Orientation held in November, both in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
